Measuring approximately 13.65” tall, each Pullip Wizard of Oz Figure features multiple points of articulation and elaborate fabric attire.
The Pullip Wizard of Oz Figures: Set of 4 includes the following figures:
1x Dorothy
1x Scarecrow
1x Tin Man
1x Cowardly Lion
Dorothy: Taking shelter in a farm house against an oncoming tornado, Dorothy is struck unconscious and she, her dog Toto, and the entire house are transported from an austere Kansas landscape to the garish, magical Land of Oz. Emerging timidly from the displaced farm house, the confused Dorothy soon learns from Glinda, the Good Witch of the North, that the house has inadvertently crushed and killed the Wicked Witch of the East, prompting the latter’s sister, the Wicked Witch of the West, to manifest and claim the enchanted Ruby Slippers. The witch is foiled, however, when Glinda magically replaces Dorothy’s shoes with the slippers.
Scarecrow: The Scarecrow is the first of the traveling companions Dorothy accrues on her way to the Emerald City. The Scarecrow joins the quest in the hopes of acquiring a brain from the Wizard of Oz, and later participates in the journey to Winkie Country to destroy the Wicked Witch of the West. However, in the course of the quest the Scarecrow is revealed to be wise and insightful, and later, after the true nature of the Wizard is revealed, the Scarecrow is bestowed with a symbolic representation of his intellect.
Tin Man: The Tin Man is the second of the traveling companions Dorothy accrues on her way to the Emerald City. One of Dorothy’s more resourceful allies, the Tin Man joins the quest in the hopes of acquiring a heart from the Wizard of Oz, and later participates in the journey to Winkie Country to destroy the Wicked Witch of the West. Later, after the true nature of the Wizard is revealed, the Tin Man is bestowed a heart simulacrum to reaffirm the great compassion demonstrated by the Tin Man from the very beginning.
Cowardly Lion: The Cowardly Lion is the last of the traveling companions Dorothy picks up on her way to the Emerald City. Lamenting his unconquerable fear and its impingement upon his intended status as the king of beasts, the Lion hopes to acquire courage from the Wizard of Oz, although it becomes evident by the Lion’s staunch defense of Dorothy that he already possesses the characteristic. Later, subsequent to the companions’ acquisition of the broomstick of the Wicked Witch of the West, the Lion is provided with a medal bearing the word ‘Courage’.
