Set 1 - Superman & Flash: Jettisoned from the doomed planet of Krypton, the infant Superman’s ultimate destination is the planet Earth; he is raised as Clark Kent, gradually inheriting an array of super-powers. Splattered with lightning-chemicals, Barry Allen gains the abilities of super-speed and super-reflexes; electing to dedicate his newfound abilities to crime-fighting, Allen creates his distinctive costume and names himself after the original Flash, becoming one of the founding members of the Justice League.
Set 2 - Batman & Robin: A noted detective and strategist, Batman is among the most capable physical combatants on the planet; in addition to defending Gotham City against an array of depraved super villains such as the Joker, Bane and Two-Face, Batman serves as a core member and chief coordinator of the Justice League. Trained by Batman and other master combatants, Robin also possesses inordinately honed deductive skills which enable him to discern the precise weaknesses of his opponents.
Set 3 - Green Lantern & Aquaman: Hal Jordan is in the process of testing a flight simulator when he is transported to the site of a crashed space vessel; the vessel’s occupant, a dying alien called Abin Sur, bestows to Jordan the green power ring. Aquaman possesses superhuman strength and the ability to withstand the ocean’s crushing depths. He is capable of telepathically controlling virtually any variety of aquatic life.
