Measuring approximately 6” tall, each Marvel Legends 2013 - Series 01 figure features multiple points of articulation and character-specific accessories.
This set is to include the following figures:
1x Ultimates Captain America
1x Hyperion (or Sentry - sorry, no choice)
1x X-Force Wolverine
1x Protector
1x Archangel (or X-Force Archangel - sorry, no choice)
1x Red She-Hulk (or Lyra - sorry, no choice)
Ultimates Captain America: Clad in a mixture of army fatigues and his patriotically themed modern costume, Ultimates Captain America is equipped with his trademark shield. Originally deemed unfit for service, Steve Rogers volunteers for the experimental Super Soldier Serum and is reconstituted into Captain America, a master tactician and one of the most skilled physical combatants in the Marvel universe. Ultimate Captain America is selected to be the field leader of The Ultimates. This version is somewhat sterner than Captain America’s mainstream counterpart, routinely utilizing firearms and explosives.
Hyperion (or Sentry - sorry, no choice): An equivalent of Superman, Hyperion is a member of the alternate dimensional Justice League-like Squadron Supreme. He possesses vast superhuman strength, durability, and endurance, flight capability, and utilizes atomic vision which is analogous to Superman’s heat vision. The Avengers assist the Squadron Supreme against the mutant villain Brain-Chain, although they (the Avengers) are later placed in opposition of the formidable Squadron when Hyperion is ensorcelled by the Serpent Crown.
X-Force Wolverine: This version of Wolverine features the character’s dusky-hued X-Force costume, complete with “X”-insignia red belt buckle. Wolverine’s mutant regenerative ability enables him to survive an experimental procedure in which his entire skeleton is sheathed in Adamantium, in the process of which his forearms are outfitted with sets of curving with retractable Adamantium claws. During the events of the X-Men: Messiah Complex crossover storyline, Wolverine takes command of a new incarnation of X-Force.
Protector: Clad in a white and black costume with insectoid silver goggles, Protector is equipped with a pistol and a pair of sub machineguns. Prime Thoran of Xandar, Thoral Rul is charged with the protection of the Xandarians’ Living Computers, otherwise known as the Worldmind. In an effort of defend the computers against the Skrulls, Prime Thoran performs a mind-meld with the Living Computers, granting him access to the myriad brains contained therein, and provided him with vast collective knowledge and psionic abilities. A Champion of Xandar, he and his teammates successfully stymie a Skrull invasion after the Worldmind is betrayed to the Skrulls by Diamondhead.
Archangel (or X-Force Archangel - sorry, no choice): Initially the Angel possesses mutation in the form of pliant white-feathered wings and secondary characteristics, including heightened reflexes, agility, speed and vision, which help top facilitate his flight capability. He is later recruited as Death, a member of Apocalypse’s Four Horsemen, and is reformatted into a murky blue-skinned figure with organic metal wings capable of discharging blade-edged feather projectiles. Eventually escaping Apocalypse’s influence he becomes Archangel. When he joins X-Force he is attacked by Wolfsbane; brainwashed by the Purifiers, Wolfsbane absconds with Archangel’s wings, leaving the latter wingless and ultimately prompting an involuntary transformation which reverts Archangel to Death.
Red She-Hulk (or Lyra - sorry, no choice): Similar to the mainstream She-Hulk in terms of height and muscularity, the Red She-Hulk is the alter ego of Betty Ross, following in the footsteps of her father, General “Thunderbolt” Ross, revealed to be the secret identity of the Red Hulk. She is initially far stronger and more resilient than the regular She-Hulk, and although her strength is later diminished, she retains the Red Hulk’s ability to leech gamma radiation from other Hulks, causing a reverse transformation in the latter and temporarily bolstering her own strength with the extant radiation.
