SPIDER-MAN and DOCTOR DOOM on the same team? Stranger things are happening, like ripples in time and diabolical alternate versions of Reed Richards that must be defeated! SPIDER-MAN and DOCTOR DOOM were brought together on the Future Foundation to shape mankind's future through science. They'll need more than their brilliant minds to defeat what they're up against...if the villainous Von Doom can even be trusted. Ages 4 and up.
Spider-Man: Bitten by a radioactive super-spider, the mainstream Spider-Man possesses enhanced strength, speed and reflexes, and a precognitive spider-sense that allows him to detect the presence of any non-Symbiote adversary. Mister Fantastic assembles the Future Foundation in the hopes of perpetuating humanity, recruiting a handful of beneficial characters. Spider-Man joins the Fantastic Four, fulfilling the request of the seemingly deceased Human Torch, becoming a member of the Future Foundation.
Doctor Doom: Victor von Doom creates a device intended to communicate with the dead, however he ignores the warning of fellow Empire State University student Reed Richards, who points out a flaw in the device, and is disfigured when the machine self-destructs. Becoming Doctor Doom, he blames Richards for the accident, and, by association, the Fantastic Four. His computer-powered armor heightens his strength and durability, defends him against energy-based attacks, and is provides him with life support measures enabling long-term survival in underwater or outer space environments. Doctor Doom is recruited as a member of the Future Foundation, becoming fixated with destroying the alternate versions of Reeds Richards.
