Extremis Iron Man: Extremis Iron Man is dressed in sculptured red and gold armor. Constructed as a housing for the transistorized chest plate used to save Tony Stark, the original Iron Man Armor provides Stark with flight capability, heightened strength and durability, and a variety of onboard weapons. When Tony Stark is injected with Extremis the resulting nanotechnological virus heightens his mental capacity and his abilities, reconstituting his body, enabling him to cybernetically interface with his armor and other forms of technology.
Ghost Rider (Random Variants): Ghost Rider is outfitted with chains and spike-laden armor with translucent blue flame radiating from the head and shoulders. Wandering into a junkyard, Daniel Ketch discovers a motorcycle bearing a sigil which transforms him into a new incarnation of Ghost Rider. He later learns that he and the previous Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze, are in fact brothers and inheritors of a mystical curse which linked them to the Spirits of Vengeance. Wielding a mystic flame and magic-infused chain, Ghost Rider possesses superhuman strength and durability, and inflicts his prey with his Penance Stare.
Heroic Age Thor: Heroic Age Thor is dressed in a black costume with sliver mail and a red cape, and is equipped with Mjolnir. Heroic Age Thor is reunified with human host Donald Blake. The New Thor is preoccupied with the tasks of rebuilding Asgard on Earth and recovering his fellow Asgardians. More or less reconciling with Tony Stark, Thor accepts the latter’s offer to establish Asgard as a foreign embassy. Thor is able to retrieve all of his fellow Asgardians from their respective mortal hosts, finally rescuing Sif from the influence of a Loki-engineered enchantment.
Constrictor: Wearing his classic costume, the Constrictor is equipped with his trademark metal coils. The Constrictor originates as a S.H.I.E.L.D. operative portraying a supervillain as a means of infiltrating the Corporation. He suffers a breakdown which transforms him into an actual supervillain, equipped with cybernetically-maintained whiplike coils capable of generating electric shocks. The Constrictor is introduced as a Hulk villain, and is later affiliated with supervillain teams including Frightful Four, the Masters of Evil, and the Sinister Syndicate.
Heroic Age Cap: Originally deemed unfit for service, Steve Rogers volunteers for the experimental Super Soldier Serum and is reconstituted into Captain America, a master tactician and one of the most skilled physical combatants in the Marvel universe. During the Heroic Age storyline Steve Rogers is appointed to replace the deranged Norman Osborn as the United States’ head of security. Following the dissolution of the Superhuman Registration Act, Rogers reactivates the Avengers, and serves as the leader of the Secret Avengers.
Marvel's Thunderball (Random Piledriver Variant): Dressed in his yellow and green costume, Thunderball is equipped with massive wrecking ball accessory. Deriving a fraction of Asgardian power from his exposure to the Wrecker’s lightning-infused enchanted crowbar, Thunderball possess superhuman strength and heightened damage resistance, effectively rendering him bulletproof. His wrecking ball weapon, also having absorbed a portion of the mystical energy contained by the Wrecker’s crowbar, functions in a manner similar to Mjolnir, and is capable of deflecting bullets and generating localized quakes.
Dark Wolverine (random Variant): Seen in the brown and tan Wolverine costume, two-pronged claws brandished, Dark Wolverine/Daken features tattooing along the left arm. Inheriting the heightened senses and regenerative ability of his father, Wolverine, Daken serves the Dark Avengers’ version of Wolverine. His affiliation with the Dark Avengers enables him to lure Cyclops into a duel and gain access to a portion of the Muramasa Blade; the mystically infused metal affixed to Daken’s bone claws, providing him with the ability to inflict wounds which supercede an opponent’s regenerative ability, although Wolverine later uses the Muramasa Blade to remove the claws altogether from Daken’s forearms.
Big Time Spider-Man (Random Variant): Big Time Spider-Man is wearing his black costume with what appears to be a modified glow-in-the-dark spider insignia patterned after the cover of Amazing Spider-Man #650. The “Spider-Man: Big Time” storyline initially pits Spider-Man against a new version of the Hobgoblin with modified equipment. Alistair Smythe later gains entry to the Raft to free Mac Gargan, transforming the latter into a cybernetically-enhanced version of the Scorpion, and utilizes cybernetic implants to create an army of Spider-Slayers. Constructing a bomb to neutralize the Spider-Slayers’ spider-sense-like ability, Spider-Man inadvertently sustains the loss of his own spider-sense.
