Ep I R2-D2: Episode I R2-D2 features button-activated electronic light and sound effects. R2-D2’s various retractable appendages and instruments enable him to serve the functions of starship mechanic and computer interface specialist. R2 originally performs maintenance duty on behalf of the Royal Engineers of Naboo aboard Queen Amidala’s royal starship. He enables the ship to escape the Trade Federation’s blockade. Later, on Tatooine, R2-D2 first encounters C-3PO, the protocol droid which was being assembled by the young Anakin Skywalker.
Ep I Battle Droid: Mass-produced and unleashed in seemingly inexhaustible multitudes, the B1 Battle Droid, structurally identical to the OOM-series model, is designed to resemble a skeletonized Geonosian with a head patterned after a Neimoidian skull. Typically Battle Droids are answerable to Droid Control Ships. Despite the Battle Droids’ fearlessness and relentless attack function, they are easily outsmarted and outmaneuvered by the likes of Jedi opponents.
Ep I Destroyer Droid: The Episode I Destroyer Droid features firing cannons. Vaguely crustacean in appearance, the Destroyer Droid is situated atop a stocky tripod stance. Utilized by the Trade Federation and the Confederacy, the Destroyer Droid, or Droideka, is a versatile bronzium-armored unit configurable as either a wheel-like formation or as a tripod-situated battle unit outfitted with twin blaster cannons, and blaster fire/lightsaber-resistant personal energy shields.
Ep II Super Battle Droid: The Super Battle Droid features firing arm blasters. The barrel-chested Super Battle Droid is encased in a grim gunmetal-hued chassis. Circumventing standard Battle Droids’ dependency upon Droid Control Ships, the larger and thicker-armored Super Battle Droid is capable of operating independently of a control signal. Super Battle Droids are typically equipped with arm-situated dual laser cannons and a tri-shot weapon system, and can be converted to operate arm-situated rocket launchers.
Ep III Clone Trooper: Equipped with a rifle, the Episode III Clone Trooper features a pack. Clone Troopers begin as built-in soldiers, physically and mentally identical, generated from the harvested genetic materials of renowned bounty hunter Jango Fett and mass produced in a covert facility on the planet Kamino. The Clone Troopers are initially installed to reinforce the Jedi warriors against the Battle Droid minions, however later, following the execution of Order 66, the Clone Troopers turn on their Jedi commanders and annihilate a large portion of the order in one fell swoop.
Ep II Yoda: Clad in a fabric outer robe, Yoda is equipped with his walking cane and green lightsaber. An influential member of the Jedi Council, Yoda initially oversees the Kashyyyk campaign, and is forced into action when his own Clone Troopers, triggered by the implementation of Order 66, attempt to kill him. Later, after regrouping with Obi-Wan, Yoda confronts Emperor Palpatine. Failing to defeat the Emperor, Yoda is forced to withdraw, evading the widening reach of the Empire by dwelling in obscurity on the swamp planet of Dagobah.
Ep I Darth Maul: Darth Maul is initially trained in Form VII: Juyo, and later attains mastery of the Jar’Kai dual-saber technique lightsaber technique. In the Theed Generator Complex, Maul battles Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan simultaneously, before maneuvering Qui-Gon into a one-on-one duel. Whereas Qui-Gon’s fighting style is hindered by the cramped spaces and drastic angles of the shield complex; Maul, by contrast, makes strategic use of his surroundings, overwhelming Qui-Gon and finally impaling him.
Ep I Obi-Wan: Obi-Wan is equipped with blue lightsaber and grapnel-firing cannons. Both Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon are sent to Naboo in reaction to the battleship blockade staged by the Trade Federation. Surviving a small skirmish with Federation forces, the two Jedi ultimately rescue Queen Amidala, escorting her from Naboo aboard a starship which later breaks down and necessitates a landing on Tatooine. There is a brief confrontation with Darth Maul, and then later, in the Theed Generator Complex, Obi-Wan narrowly succeeds in destroying the Sith apprentice.
Ep I Qui-Gon: Both Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan are sent to Naboo in reaction to the battleship blockade staged by the Trade Federation. Surviving a small skirmish with Federation forces, the two Jedi ultimately rescue Queen Amidala, escorting her from Naboo aboard a starship which later breaks down and necessitates a landing on Tatooine. Qui-Gon thwarts Darth Maul before leaving Tatooine, and later, in the Theed Generator Complex, sustains a fatal thrust from Maul’s dual-bladed lightsaber.
Ep V Darth Vader: Darth Vader features a billowing fixed-pose cape and lightsaber-slashing action. Sustained by a mechanized life support system and prosthetics, the battered and disfigured Sith Lord Darth Vader serves as both the apprentice and enforcer of Emperor Palpatine. In the course of locating and destroying the Rebel Alliance, Vader scours the galaxy relentlessly for his son, Luke Skywalker, with the intention of luring the conflicted Skywalker to the Dark Side.
Ep V Luke: Clad in his orange flight suit, Ep V Luke features a removable helmet and grapnel pack, and is equipped with a rifle and a blue lightsaber. Skywalker flies a Snowspeeder in conjunction with the Alliance’s Echo Base installation on the ice planet of Hoth. During the Battle of Hoth, Snowspeeder pilots utilize Attack Pattern Delta as a means of offsetting the Empire’s onslaught of thunderous AT-AT Walkers; Skywalker deftly uses the Snowspeeder’s tow cable to tangle the AT-AT’s legs and drag down the Walker.
