The Avengers 3.75” Figure Series 02 Revision 02: Case of 12 includes the following figures:
2x Rocket Grenade Captain America
1x Sword Spike Thor
1x Reactron Armor Iron Man
2x Gamma Smash Hulk
2x Shock Strike Thor
2x Shield Launcher Captain America
2x Fusion Armor Iron Man
Rocket Grenade Captain America: Rocket Grenade Captain America is an unmasked version equipped with both his trademark shield and a projectile-firing cannon. Barred from enlistment in the U.S. Army, Steve Rogers volunteers for the military-funded Project: Rebirth, and is transformed into the super solider Captain America. After decades of suspended animation Captain America is recovered, and is banded together with his fellow Avengers to prevent Loki and his Chitauri from conquering Earth.
Sword Spike Thor: Sword Spike Thor is a helmeted version of Thor equipped with a standard version of Mjolnir and a battle axe which doubles as a projectile-firing cannon. Thor leads a precipitous invasion of Jotunheim, instigating war between the Frost Giants and the Asgardians. Banished to Earth, Thor is later redeemed when he sacrifices himself to defend Earth’s populace against the monstrous Destroyer. Briefly coordinating with S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, Thor formally announces himself as Earth’s ally and protector, and is later recruited as a member of the Avengers against his resentful half-brother Loki.
Reactron Armor Iron Man: Colored in black and shades of blue, the Reactron Armor is designed to explore the precipice of black holes, and is accompanied by the Plasmas Claw Launcher. Iron Man battles against the treacherous Obadiah Stane and the monstrous Iron Monger and later against Anton Vanko’s Whiplash armor. Based in part on the observations of undercover operative Natasha Romanoff, Tony Stark is evaluated by S.H.E.I.L.D. personnel as a potential member of the Avengers. Later, after Loki gains access to the Tesseract and forms an alliance with Chitauri, Iron Man is recruited despite his eccentricities and initial inability to cooperate with his fellow Avengers.
Gamma Smash Hulk: The Hulk’s downward-thrust Gamma Smash action feature is activated by cranking his arms backwards. Thunderbolt Ross uses a single drop of gamma-saturated blood to discover the location of Bruce Banner. Emil Blonsky, a mercenary hired by Ross, volunteers to test a super-soldier serum derived from Banner’s blood, becoming the Abomination, an uncooperative monster which can only be stopped by the Hulk. The Hulk is later recruited as a member of the Avengers, and is unleashed against the onslaught of Chitauri invaders summoned by Loki.
Shock Strike Thor: Following the theft of a weapon commandeered from the Frost Giants, Thor leads a precipitous invasion of the giants’ realm, Jotunheim, instigating war between the Frost Giants and the Asgardians. Stripped of his power and banished to Earth, Thor is later redeemed when he sacrifices himself to defend Earth’s populace against the monstrous Destroyer. Briefly coordinating with S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, Thor formally announces himself as Earth’s ally and protector, and is later recruited as a member of the Avengers.
Shield Launcher Captain America: Clad in a more contemporary costume, Shield Launcher Captain America is equipped with a sidearm and a standard version of his trademark shield in addition to the shield launcher & projectile accessories bearing the Avengers emblem.
Fusion Armor Iron Man: Dressed in red, gold and silver armor, Fusion Armor Mark VII Iron Man is outfitted with a spinning saw blade accessory. The Fusion Armor enables Iron Man to generate three-dimensional energy weapons such as saw blades.
