Heroic Age Captain America: Heroic Age Captain America is clad in a mixture of costume and black fatigues, and is equipped with shield and pistol. Originally deemed unfit for service, Steve Rogers volunteers for the experimental Super Soldier Serum and is reconstituted into Captain America, a master tactician and one of the most skilled physical combatants in the Marvel universe. During the Heroic Age storyline Steve Rogers is appointed to replace the deranged Norman Osborn as the United States’ head of security. Following the dissolution of the Superhuman Registration Act, Rogers reactivates the Avengers, and serves as the leader of the Secret Avengers.
Marvel's Thunderball: Clad in his yellow and green costume, Thunderball is equipped with massive wrecking ball accessory. Deriving a fraction of Asgardian power from his exposure to the Wrecker’s lightning-infused enchanted crowbar, Thunderball is imbued with superhuman strength and heightened damage resistance, rendering him effectively bulletproof and allowing him to withstand concussive heavy assaults. Thunderball’s wrecking ball weapon, also having absorbed a portion of the mystical energy contained by the Wrecker’s crowbar, functions in a manner similar to Mjolnir, and is capable of deflecting bullets and generating localized quakes.
Dark Wolverine: Clad in the brown and tan Wolverine costume with two-pronged claws brandished, Dark Wolverine/Daken features tattooing along his left arm. Inheriting the heightened senses and regenerative ability of his father, Wolverine, Daken serves as the Dark Avengers’ version of Wolverine.
Madame Masque: Clad in a black and white costume and sculptured gold mask, Madame Masque is equipped with a pistol and a machinegun. Daughter of Count Nefaria, Madame Masque eventually becomes the leader of the Maggia. During her attack on a Stark facility she is overwhelmed by Iron Man; her narrow escape eventuates in a plane crash which leaves her facially disfigured. She later succumbs to paranoia, becoming a more tyrannical figure, creating numerous bio-duplicate versions of herself. She is later persuaded to side with the Avengers and the Thunderbolts against Count Nefaria, using a weapon she designed to disrupt Nefaria ionic energy.
Big Time Spider-Man: Big Time Spider-Man is clad in his black costume with what appears to be a modified glow-in-the-dark spider insignia patterned after the cover of Amazing Spider-Man #650. The “Spider-Man: Big Time” storyline initially pits Spider-Man against a new version of the Hobgoblin with modified equipment. Alistair Smythe later gains entry to the Raft to free Mac Gargan, transforming the latter into a cybernetically-enhanced version of the Scorpion, and utilizes cybernetic implants to create an army of Spider-Slayers. Constructing a bomb to neutralize the Spider-Slayers’ spider-sense-like ability, Spider-Man inadvertently sustains the loss of his own spider-sense.
Marvel's Drax: Shirtless with a series of red markings, Drax the Destroyer is equipped with twin knives. Indiscriminately killed by Thanos, Arthur Douglas’ consciousness is infused within the artificial life form Drax the Destroyer. Brainwashed, Drax is driven by the relentless compulsion to destroy Thanos and is capable of detecting Thanos’ presence. Drax possesses vast superhuman strength, endurance and resiliency, and is capable of generating blasts of cosmic energy; requiring neither air nor sustenance, Drax is capable of traveling vast distances in outer space.
Fantomex: The trench coat-clad Fantomex is equipped with twin pistols & holsters. Infused with Nano-Sentinel technology, Fantomex is one of a group of anti-mutant Super-Sentinels patterned after Saturday morning cartoon superheroes. Fantomex’s nervous system is externalized in the form of E.V.A, an autonomous techno-organic saucer-shaped vessel. He generates complex illusions which misdirect his opponents. Possessing enhanced strength, reflexes and durability, Fantomex is a skilled physical combatant and a master marksman furnished with specially-created mutant-killing bullets.
Build-A-Figure Arnim Zola: An inordinately skilled biochemist, Arnim Zola works among the Nazis, initially constructing a brain pattern imprinting device that enables him to transfer a subject’s consciousness into a cloned body. Zola transfers his own consciousness into a body with a psychotronic box rather than a head, and perpetuates his existence by routinely transferring his consciousness from damaged bodies into entirely new ones. Zola’s original affiliation with the Red Skull places him in opposition of Captain America; Zola facilitates the Red Skull’s survival by providing the latter with a body cloned from Captain America’s DNA.
