Wolverine & Captain America: A mutant ability to regenerate enables Wolverine to survive an experimental procedure sheathing his entire skeleton in Adamantium and outfitting his forearms with retractable Adamantium claws; Wolverine’s enhanced strength and reflexes are benefited by an extensive knowledge of various fighting styles. Clad in his classic patriotically-themed uniform, Captain America is equipped with his trademark shield; deemed unfit for duty during WWII, Steve Rogers is selected for the experimental Super Soldier program.
Thor & Iron Man: Thor is equipped with Mjolnir accessory; the Mighty Thor embodies a number of admirable qualities, although his lack of humility prompts Odin to join Thor’s essence with that of the infirmed mortal Donald Blake. Iron Man is clad in his red and yellow armor; modified numerous times even prior to Iron Man’s association with the Avengers, the Iron Man armor, encompassing transistor and magnetic repulsor technology, provides Tony Stark with damage-resistance, vastly heightened strength, flight capability and a variety of powerful onboard weapons.
Spider-Man & Captain Britain: Spider-Man is clad in his classic blue and red costume. Spider-Man is imbued with enhanced strength, speed and reflexes, and a precognitive spider-sense that works against virtually any opponent. Captain Britain is clad in his original red and gold costume, and is equipped with scepter accessory. Imbued with superhuman strength, heightened stamina and durability, Captain Britain is one manifestation of the mystically-imbued Captain Britain Corps, a band of superheroes sometimes maneuvered between alternate realities. A misunderstanding generated the battle between Spider-Man and Captain Britain, precipitating the capture of the two heroes by Arcade.
Colossus & Juggernaut: Clad in his red and yellow costume, Colossus is depicted in his silver-hued organic metal state; Colossus’ mutant ability enables him to transform his entire body into living metal, which provides invulnerability against most attacks, physical or even supernatural, and drastically heightens his strength and endurance in the process. Virtually unstoppable, requiring neither sustenance nor oxygen, the Juggernaut is impervious to most physical attacks; his primary weakness rests within his vulnerability to telepathic assaults, against which his distinctive, domed, nearly unmovable helmet is intended as a safeguard.
Wolverine vs. Hulk: A mutant ability to regenerate enables Wolverine to survive an experimental procedure sheathing his entire skeleton in Adamantium and outfitting his forearms with retractable Adamantium claws; initially a mysterious character, Wolverine confronted both the Hulk and the Wendigo. Spawned by gamma radiation, the Hulk is an entity triggered from within the otherwise innocuous scientist Bruce Banner; the Hulk’s strength is proportionate to his rage, and though not always specifically aggressive, he is constantly provoked by monstrous super villains and U.S. military alike.
Silver Centurion IM vs. Mandarin: Outfitted with the energy-efficient S-circuit, resistant to various physical and energy-based attacks, the Silver Centurion armor is utilized by Tony Stark as an experimental form for the creation of other models. A noted martial artist capable of inflicting direct damage to the Iron Man armor, the Mandarin, among the most venerable and sinister of Iron Man’s adversaries, is equipped with the power-imbuing, mentally-activated ten rings harvested from among the wreckage of the Makluan starship of Axonn-Karr.
