Initially, in the course of supposed diplomatic negotiations, she was menaced by crude assassination attempts on behalf of Nute Gunray and the Trade Federation. She was later stranded on Tatooine for a short time, during which she met a young Anakin Skywalker, and was hunted by Darth Maul.
