Daultay Dofine served as the captain of the Trade Federation Lucrehulk-class battleship Saak-ak, flagship of the Federation fleet, during the blockade of Naboo. Upon realizing that the two Republic ambassadors ushered aboard the flagship were in fact Jedi warriors Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi, the non-confrontational Dofine proposed a stalemate, much to the disgust of Darth Sidious. Following the invasion of Naboo and the withdrawal of the bulk of the fleet, Dofine was placed in command of the one remaining vessel, the Droid Control Ship, and met his demise when the young Anakin succeeded in destroying the Droid Control Ship.
