Klaw is outfitted with his sound generator appendage which enables him to him to generate numbing blasts and destructive sound waves. In his frenzy to power his sound transducer device, Ulysses Klaw ransacked Wakanda for the rare substance called Vibranium, during the course of which the misguided physicist killed the Wakandan ruler, T’Chaka. Klaw was subsequently maimed by T’Chaka’s vengeful son, T’Challa. Harnessing the plundered Vibranium to finalize his creation, Klaw was transformed into a creature composed of solidified sound. His dismembered hand was replaced by his sound generator appendage.
