Generations 2011 Series 05: Case of 8 includes the following figures:
1x Sergeant Kup
2x Wheeljack
1x Warpath
2x Sky Shadow
2x Junkheap
Sergeant Kup: Sergeant Kup is modified according to the framework of an Earth-based truck, and is equipped with Musket Laser accessory. A cranky, roughhewn veteran with myriad tales at his disposal and all varieties of solicited and unsolicited advice for his cohorts, Kup has a penchant for lackadaisically reflecting upon his past adventures, literally in the course of present-moment engagements. Kup’s antiquated Musket Laser fires bursts of metal-corroding acid; Kup’s partner, Recoil, transforms into a similar version to the original musket. In vehicle mode, Kup is capable of a maximum speed of 100 mph with a range of 800 miles. In Transformers: The Movie, Kup served as Hot Rod’s impromptu mentor, battling a horde a Sharkticons alongside the younger Autobot.
Wheeljack: Utilizing a heavily modified version of the Turbo Tracks mold, Wheeljack converts from a sleek white car with red and green markings into a robot mode outfitted with a shoulder-mounted rocket launcher and equipped with wrench accessories. A noted tinkerer characterized as the Autobots’ resident mad scientist, the cartoon version of Wheeljack is noteworthy for his part in the creation of the Dinobots; conversely, Wheeljack’s consistent production of new weapons and gadgets, and his compulsion to test the weapons himself, makes him one of the most danger-prone of the Autobots. Wheeljack is most efficient in vehicle mode. He can fly within a range of 800 miles by virtue of the solid-fuel rockets built into his arms. Wheeljack’s shoulder cannon enables him to fire a variety of artillery including magnetic inducer, shrapnel-needle, and gyro-inhibitor shells.
Warpath: Similar in appearance to the much less intricate Legends Class Warpath, Generations 2011 Warpath converts from an H-shaped tank into an extensively articulated robot outfitted with a shoulder-situated missile launcher and a telescoping central gun housed in his chest plate. Though sometimes given to a disproportionately high self-estimation, particularly in regards to his sharpshooting prowess, Warpath has an amiable sense of humor which is appreciated by his fellow Autobots. In tank mode, Warpath can traverse even the roughest terrain at 30 mph. He fires a variety of ammunition including explosive, thermal, cryogenic, acid, and sonic shells. Given his modified form, Generations Warpath is presumably no longer prone to being upended and rendered helpless.
Sky Shadow: Utilizing the Generations Thunderwing mold, Sky Shadow features a new head and a new chest piece. Sky Shadow is equipped with a pair of missile-firing cannons which can be detached from the wings to become handheld blasters or can be combined to form a super-cannon; the nose of the jet can be detached to create a drone unit. Sky Shadow is a mercenary whose nefarious lack of scruples makes him unpopular even in the company of his fellow Decepticons. Sky Shadow’s jet mode enables him to generate structure-demolishing shockwaves. Sky Shadow is typically associated with his partner, the equally compunctionless Blue Bacchus. However, the partnership is just as tentative as any other of Sky Shadow’s short-lived alliances.
Junkheap: Utilizing the Wreck-Gar/Scrapheap mold, Junkheap features a unique head sculpt. He converts from an armored motorcycle (designed to seat a Wreck-Gar or duplicate figure as rider) into a scrappy robot mode with the cycle’s front wheel serving as built-on shoulder armor and axe-like melee weapon. Under the loose command of Wreck-Gar, Junkheap participated in the Junkions’ hackneyed attack against the newly arrived Autobots, and later, once a truce was established via Universal Greeting, led the effort to reassemble and resuscitate Ultra Magnus. As with the other Junkions, Junkheap’s ramshackle construction is mitigated by the ability to self-repair, simply adding severed appendages back on in the midst of battle.
