The GI Joe 2011 Midsize Vehicles Series 01: Black Dragon VTOL features spinning propellers, armored cockpit with heads-up display, wings that can be deployed from landing to flight mode, and a series of dropping bombs. The Black Dragon VTOL is accompanied by a new Air Viper clad in a black and silver flight suit. Specializing in air assaults, elite Cobra Air Troopers utilize jet packs, coordinating with land-based Cobra troops to stymie and ambush GI Joe forces. Air Troopers utilize larger vehicles such as the VTOL to perform scouting and combat tasks on behalf of Cobra Commander.
