Iron Man: Constructed as a housing for the transistorized chest plate used to save Tony Stark, the bulletproof Iron Man Armor is equipped with magnetic repulsors, and provides Stark with heightened strength and durability. Utilized by Stark as the basis for his membership in the Avengers, the original Armor was the foundation from which Stark gradually generated multiple variants and specialized versions.
Hulk: This version of Hulk depicts the character’s early troglodytic appearance. Spawned by gamma radiation, the Hulk is an entity triggered from within otherwise innocuous scientist Bruce Banner, with vast superhuman strength proportionate to his rage. Originally, the Hulk is manipulated by Loki and set against Thor, although ultimately the Hulk allies with Thor, Iron Man, the Wasp and Ant-Man to defeat Loki.
Thor: Thor is equipped with the mighty Mjolnir. Already a champion of Asgard, Thor serves as a defender of Midgard as well. He becomes a founding member of the Avengers, in opposition of his half-brother Loki. In the hopes of adding humility to Thor’s otherwise virtuous character, Odin partners Thor with Donald Blake, the former’s human alter ego.
(Miniature) Wasp: The winged Wasp is clad in her original red and dark blue costume. Drawing upon Pym-particles, the Wasp is able to manipulate her size and mass. When she shrinks into her miniature winged mode she is capable of flying at speeds up to 40 mph, and shaping her bioelectric energy into a concussive blast.
(Miniature) Ant-Man: Ant-Man is clad in his classic red and blue costume. Discovering and harnessing Pym-particles, Hank Pym manipulates his size and mass. Developing a shrinking formula and dosing himself more liberally than intended, Pym is nearly mauled by a squadron of ants, prompting him to create a cybernetic helmet to communicate with the ants.
