Thor Deluxe Figures Series 02: Lightning Fury Thor is equipped with both Mjolnir and Lightning Launcher accessories. Thor’s ascension to the throne is interrupted by the Frost Giants’ attempt to steal their former weapon, the Casket of Ancient Winters. Disregarding the council of his father, Odin, the overzealous Thor leads an assault on the giants’ realm, Jotunheim, instigating war between the Frost Giants and the Asgardians. Thor is stripped of his power and banished to Earth. Here he regains his mastery of the power-imbuing Mjolnir only after sacrificing himself to defend Earth’s populace against the monstrous Destroyer. Briefly coordinating with S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, Thor announces himself as Earth’s ally and protector. Upon his return to Asgard, Thor confronts the manipulative Loki, and ultimately foils the latter’s scheme to indiscriminately annihilate Jotunheim.
