The Star Wars Crimson Empire Crucible Boxed Set: Previews Exclusive includes the following figures:
Emperor Palpatine: Emperor Palpatine is clad in a black robe with a black fabric hooded cloak, and is equipped with a red lightsaber. Palpatine was featured in the Crimson Empire storyline as a flashback character. A pervading presence, Palpatine presided over the final tests tasked upon the trainees, Lemmet Tauk and Kir Kanos, and Alum Frost and Carnor Jax.
Darth Vader: Darth Vader features a black fabric robe and cloak, and is equipped with a red lightsaber. One Kir Kanos’ recollections revealed an incident in which Vader and Palpatine arrived to oversee the training regimen on Yinchorr. Vader challenged the best of the trainees to a duel, easily killing the trainee and showing the other candidates that their training was far from complete.
Royal Guard Trainee (purple uniform): Lemmet Tauk is equipped with a vibroblade weapon. In the course of his training at the Imperial Guard Academy, Lemmet Tauk was partnered with fellow candidate Kir Kanos, with whom Tauk formed a strong friendship. During the final test phase of his training, over which Palpatine presided, Tauk was forced to face Kanos in a duel to the death.
Royal Guard Trainee (yellow uniform): Kir Kanos is equipped with a vibroblade weapon. In order to complete his training, Kir Kanos was forced to kill his fellow candidate and close friend, Lemmet Tauk, in single combat. When Kanos mourned his friend, Darth Vader delivered a scarring lightsaber swipe to Kanos to emphasize the irreproachability of Palpatine’s will.
Royal Guard Trainee (red uniform): Alum Frost is equipped with a vibroblade weapon. In the course of his training at the Imperial Guard Academy, Alum Frost was partnered with fellow candidate Carnor Jax, with whom Frost formed a strong friendship. During the final test phase of his training, over which Palpatine presided, Frost was briskly slain by the compunctionless Jax.
Royal Guard Trainee (blue uniform): Carnor Jax is equipped with a vibroblade weapon. A renowned Stormtrooper, Carnor Jax was inducted into the Imperial Guard Academy where he persevered against grueling training. A palpable foreshadowing of Jax’s opportunistic character came in the form of the final test, when Jax emotionlessly slaughtered his friend, Alum Frost.
