Universe Deluxe - Wave 2 - Set of 5 includes the following:
1x Universe Deluxe: Sunstreaker appears to be one of the most intricately articulated figures in the assortment. He’s equipped with an electron pulse blaster as well as back-mounted engine intakes. Several elements of Universe Sunstreaker are directly loyal to his Gen 1 incarnation. Sunstreaker’s original profile notes his artillery-resistant polymer steel skin, and his ability to fire laser-guided ground-to-air rockets and high energy electron pulses. Awash in all-consuming egotism, Sunstreaker derives pleasure from vainglorious preening and is a characteristically ill-suited team player. Though easily lured into dangerous situations, Sunstreaker is a formidable adversary typically defined by ominous calm and methodical relentlessness.
1x Universe Deluxe: Prowl is configured with a pair of white shoulder-mounted rockets, and is equipped with a black blaster rifle. The Universe Prowl is fairly loyal to the Gen 1 Prowl. His color scheme is based around his police markings, and his overall aesthetic seems to be influenced both by the Classics line and the Movie continuity figures. Prowl is distinguished by unwavering tenacity, and can generally be relied upon for expert tactical advice, but he is sometimes hindered by his overriding compulsion to find the logic within a given situation. At the beginning of Transformers: The Movie, Prowl was aboard a shuttle bound for Autobot City when the vessel was assaulted by a force of Decepticons. Attempting to repel a barrage of heavy fire, Prowl was destroyed after suffering a direct blast from Scavenger.
1x Universe Deluxe: Tankor (Octane) is equipped with a rifle and a Melee Blade accessory that somehow seems to resemble the outlandishly monstrous Sword of Plundarr wielded by Ratilla and Mumm-Ra. Tankor (he’s still Octane on the inside) is colored in purple, black, grey and silver. Tankor’s vehicle modes include a fuel truck and a cargo plane. His robot mode appears to be well articulated. Tankor’s scowling features are dimly aglow with shifty red eyes. Tankor is characterized as a creepy, malingering bully, the type to glean guffawing laughter from crashes and derive enjoyment from the pains of his fuel-deprived Decepticon cohorts. Like virtually any bully, Tankor is also a craven coward (Octane’s original tech specs cite a courage ranking of 3.5). Tankor (Octane) is going to be one of the COOLEST figures in the entire Universe 2008 line.
1x Universe Deluxe Wave 2: Acid Storm is a green repaint of the Classics Starscream mold, intended to resemble the green jet of the three Rainmakers that served in the command of Shockwave on Cybertron. Acid Storm’s wings are equipped with underslung projectile-firing cannons; in robot mode, the oversized cannons serve as Acid Storm’s guns, and must be converted to handheld weapons in order to allow Acid Storm’s full range of shoulder articulation. In the original cartoon episode, “Divide and Conquer”, Bumblebee, Ironhide, Bluestreak and Trailbreaker were accompanied by Chip Chase on a threadbare mission to Cybertron to retrieve a cosmotron needed to repair the heavily damaged Optimus Prime. The Rainmakers, a trio of Cybertronian Seekers dispatched by Shockwave, generated an acid rainfall that temporarily discombobulated the Autobots.
1x Universe Deluxe Wave 2: Galvatron appears to support an elaborate array of articulation. Galvatron’s stocky tank altmode is equipped with a turret-mounted translucent orange cannon complete with an equally translucent missile projectile. In robot mode, Galvatron brandishes his sovereign cannon as an arm-mounted weapon. Arranged beneath a crown-like headpiece, Galvatron’s red eyes are voraciously inflamed. Salvaged from the battered remains of Megatron, Galvatron was generated by Unicron as an instrument intended to destroy the Matrix of Leadership. Galvatron was provided with heightened power, new warriors, and an imposing warship, although he retained the contempt and defiance that had defined Megatron, and wasted no time in journeying to Cybertron and obliterating Starscream in the wake of the latter’s buffoonish coronation.
