Images from the classic 1980’s G.I. JOE cartoon series are captured in the new battle packs, which include a 5-episode mini-series DVD and 3 to 4 highly articulated 3-3/4-inch figures pulled from these episodes.
The 25th Anniversary: Series 01: The M.A.S.S. Device includes the following figures/accessories:
Snake Eyes and Timber: This version of Snake Eyes features translucent red sections to recreate Snake Eyes’ exposure to radiation; though initially believed to be dead, the irradiated Snake Eyes wandered into the wilderness, where he was befriended by a wolf and received assistance from a blind hermit. Snake Eyes is clad in a black uniform complete with opaque visor and harness and belt, and is equipped with a black machinegun and a radioactive crystal fragment. Timber is a feral-looking fixed-pose figure with a grayish-white coat.
Stalker: This version of Stalker is clad in a beret, green/yellow camouflaged fatigues complete with tan harness and belt, knife & holster, and is equipped with a gun and jetpack accessory. Prior to enlistment as one of the original members of the GI Joe team, Stalker was a street gang warlord. Stalker is a qualified expert in the implementation of the M-14, M-16, M-1911A1 (Auto-Pistol), M-3A1 Grease Gun, and the M-32 “Pulverizer” Sub-Machine Gun.
Baroness: This version of the Baroness is clad in a sleek red diving suit stamped with the Cobra insignia, and is equipped with scuba gear and a knife and thigh-mounted scabbard. Borne by a miniature sub, the Baroness participated in a battle on the ocean floor to secure one of the elements required for the operation of the M.A.S.S. Device; when both the Joes and Cobra were attacked by gigantic worms, the two teams were forced into a tentative and short-lived alliance.
Cobra Trooper: The Cobra Trooper is clad in a dark blue uniform with a blue helmet and black mask; the Cobra Trooper is equipped with a black harness and belt, a silver combat knife & leg-mounted scabbard, and a machinegun. The raw material of the Cobra army, the Cobra Trooper is marked by an austere chest-borne Cobra insignia. A Cobra Trooper, or simply a COBRA, is trained to use varying explosives and firearms, and, most importantly, swears nearly mindless allegiance to Cobra’s fanatical leader, Cobra Commander!
