The War Within Box Set: WW Optimus Prime & WW Megatron is a Toys-R-Us exclusive featuring the WW Optimus Prime and WW Megatron figures from the 6” Titanium line as well as a War Within comic book with an exclusive cover. The War Within series explores the character of Megatron during the formative stages of his conquest. Initially, he has destroyed the Autobot leader, Sentinel Prime, thrusting the ranks of the Autobots into disordered factions.
War Within Optimus Prime into a six-wheeled vaguely Kup-esque vehicle with a mounted cannon. Originating as the somewhat detached archivist Optronix, Prime initially resists his destiny as the greatest Autobot leader ever known. His beginning is one of an obscure, detached and almost apathetic character. No one is more surprised than Optronix himself when he is chosen to become the new Prime and the host to the Matrix of Leadership which he had previously believed to be mythic.
The War Within Megatron will include a Decepticon insignia display platform. This version of Megatron is a hulking, mobile battle station, substantially more impressive than Megatron’s eventual Walther mode. In robot mode, rabid gun enthusiast Megatron is equipped with a back-mounted cannon, a shoulder-mounted cannon, and a forearm-mounted cannon. In vehicle mode, a segmented-tread tank, the monstrous cannon arsenal bristles forward to annihilate Autobot adversaries.
