Well-articulated and somewhat different in design than the Leader Class Optimus Prime, First Strike Optimus features a nostalgic configuration of Gen 1 colors, lending Prime a matching aesthetic to other Gen 1 repaints such as Ratchet, Jazz and Starscream, and that’s just cool. First Strike Optimus Prime is armed with a pair of projectile-firing cannons. Originally, Optimus Prime ruled Cybertron alongside Megatron, although after Megatron revealed his mechanical scheme to yoke the power of the Allspark for himself, Optimus rallied a group of Cybertronian noncombatants into an unfortunately ineffective militia. In the aftermath of the destructive battle on Earth, Prime now strives to restore some of the damage wrought by the Decepticons.
