Jazz is one of the bulkier robots in the first Deluxe assortment, with very decent articulation and a somewhat elaborate transformation process. Jazz transforms from a Pontiac Solstice into an Autobot with a couple of touches that are reminiscent of Jazz’s Gen 1 incarnation. The car spoiler separates to become an arm-mounted shield; Jazz is armed with a weapon described as a telescoping sword but which also resembles a telescoping gun attachment. The Gen 1 color scheme of course makes Jazz an even more desirable acquisition. Courageous and determined, Jazz is also described as a loquacious, style-conscious member of the Autobot team. Jazz was among the group of Autobots charged with the task of keeping the Allspark out of Megatron’s tyrannical hands. Unfortunately, Jazz was drawn into individual combat with Megatron and was damaged even beyond Ratchet’s ability to repair.
