G1 Ultra Magnus: This version of Ultra Magnus is far and away one of the most impressive-looking versions. G1 Ultra Magnus is transformable with the carrier/super robot mode intact. In Transformers: The Movie, Optimus Prime passed the Matrix to Ultra Magnus, the latter of whom accepted it reluctantly. Unfortunately, Ultra Magnus’ tenure was a brief one: On the Planet of Junk, Magnus made a valiant stand to buy escape time for his comrades and was overwhelmed by the attack fire of the Sweeps. Luckily, however, Magnus died while in the company of the Junkions---enabling the latter to rebuild his body and reactivate him.
"War Within" Megatron: This version of Megatron is a hulking, mobile battle station. In robot mode, rabid gun enthusiast Megatron is equipped with a back-mounted cannon, a shoulder-mounted cannon, and a forearm-mounted cannon. The War Within series explores the character of Megatron during the formative stages of his ravening conquest Initially, he has destroyed Sentinel Prime, and is shown brazenly displaying Sentinel’s severed head. The Autobots are somewhat dissembled and largely disillusioned, with Grimlock serving as a commander over one large faction. Megatron feels nothing but contempt where his enemies are concerned---and almost cheated of glory by the apparent lack of resistance.
"War Within" The Fallen: The Fallen is the Transformers equivalent of a high-ranking demon. Flames are imprinted along The Fallen’s back plates, and the varying chinks in his armor radiate a matching yellow. His bulky chassis is appropriately scorched and cracked. The Fallen’s helmet is marred and dented, his flame-yellow eyes set within darkness overlapped by a facial grill. The Fallen was among the original thirteen Transformers created by Primus. The Fallen, however, had an eye for the forbidden fruit and decided to defect to the Unicron faction. When Unicron was defeated, The Fallen was cast down and banished. Later, the Fallen would return to Cybertron, a massive flame-spewing nightmare with an apocalyptic agenda.
