This version of Han Solo features alternate torsos; Solo is strapped into the Bespin Torture Rack, a spark-generating, comparatively archaic device apparently concealed behind the more innocuous facade of the Cloud City. Solo was subjected to the torture rack shortly after he was betrayed by Lando to Darth Vader. As Solo was tortured, screams were heard in the corridor outside, causing Lando to grimace with helpless guilt. Later on, the debilitated Solo was removed from the device and thrown into a prison cell with Princess Leia and Chewbacca. Solo confessed to Leia that his torture session had been non-interrogational in nature, suggesting that Darth Vader initiated the process out of simple morbid amusement.
