Designed to be symbiotically linked with larger Decepticon Blackout, Scorponok alternates between a scorpion mode and quick-conversion robot/bipedal scorpion mode. Each mode features spinning drill claws and an articulated tail mounted with a spring-loaded three-pronged stinger. Within his arachnoid parameters, Scorponok is well articulated. Scorponok’s head sculpt, used in both transformation modes, features multiple red eyes and rudimentary mandibles.
Scorponok’s tech specs are as follows: Strength 5, Intelligence 2, Speed 6, Endurance 8, Rank 3, Courage 6, Fireblast 5, Skill 3. The noncommunicative, instinct-driven Scorponok is credited with animal intelligence. His entire existence is dedicated to the principles of ambush and attack. Scorponok seems to be the textbook example of a team player psychologically connected to his Megatron-loyalist partner Blackout.
