Figrin D’an and the Modal Nodes were once widely renowned, reaching their figurative crescendo during the headier days of the Clone Wars. During the time of the adult Luke Skywalker, however, the band had been relegated to less grandiose venues such as the scum-laden cantina at Mos Eisley. In their context the band was reduced to a peripheral element, creating background noise while Obi-Wan mutilated Ponda Baba and while Solo drygulched poor Greedo with an under the table blaster shot.
