The Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker is the same pompous black-clad version that marched into Jabba’s throne room and attempted, unsuccessfully, to bend the Hutt to his will by the use of a Jedi mind trick. In the supplemental material, Boba Fett, present at the time of Skywalker’s audience, recalled Skywalker’s attempt as being one of the more ludicrous things he’d seen.
Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker is armed with a large bone, a makeshift weapon selected once Skywalker had fallen prey to Jabba’s trap door and landed in the filth-strewn lair of the hideous Rancor. Skywalker briefly attempts to ward the Rancor off with the bone, finally wedging it longwise between the Rancor’s jaws, but the Rancor shatters the bone easily, causing Skywalker to look towards the massive metal portcullis as his own means of neutralizing the gigantic flesh-eating monster.
