Elis Helrot, originally christened “Skull Head”, looks a little bit like a genetic crossbreed of Beavis and the Ghost Face killer from Scream. Elis was one among an entire roster of peripheral characters from the Mos Eisley Cantina crowd. Elis’ head looks disproportionately large, and his visible wardrobe is similar to a black turtleneck and a grandmotherly shawl.
Elis Helrot is of the alien race called Givin. The Givin are of the world called Yag’Dhul, a planet in which lunar anomalies and subsequent tide irregularities expose the residents of Yag’Dhul to cycles of space vacuum. In order to compensate, the Givin developed a bizarre procedure in which their anatomical forms were encased inside exoskeleton vac-suits, thus according to a garden variety Givin’s abrupt appearance.
