As seen in Episode II: Attack of the Clones, the Clone Trooper is clad in scalloped white armor, identified by the drastic T-shaped visor and armed with a blaster rifle. This is a slightly more benign-looking version of the Clone Trooper, primed for battle---prior to the implementation of Order 66.
The Clone Troopers began as built-in soldiers generated from the harvested genetic materials of nefarious bounty hunter Jango Fett. Initially they were installed to reinforce the Jedi warriors against the Droid minions, but once Palpatine established his ultimate authority, “Order 66” was dispatched wide-range, and the Clone Troopers promptly turned on their Jedi companions, eradicating 98 % of that venerable order in one fell swoop. Eventually these same troopers would crystallize into the ranks of Stormtroopers, set in place to enforce the will of the Empire.
