The Imperial Attack Cruiser is made of both plastic and die-cast, and features a mounting arc and Star Wars insignia display base. A product of the burgeoning Empire and a monstrous tier in the Star Destroyer evolution, the Imperial Cruiser features both the predatory arrow-shaped design with more pronounced dorsal and pectoral fins.
This Venator-class vessel was in production during the latter stages of Palpatine’s amassment of power. Once Emperor Palpatine assumed full power and the foundations of the Empire were aligned, the Imperial Cruiser gained new resonance, echoing the Star Destroyer to come, no longer a symbol of law but instead a ponderous avatar of Palpatine’s ravening tyranny.
