Origins Hero - Spider-Man 2099 features an ‘Origins’ display base and fabric web cape. His dark blue costume is sleekly designed and traced with an elaborate death’s-head version of the arachnid insignia. Spider-Man 2009 is heavily articulated, with the fabric cape joined along the shoulders.
Spider-Man 2099 developed his powers after accidental genetic splicing with the DNA of a spider. Sporting a futurized costume, Spider-Man 2099 became a superhero in order to combat the various treacheries of his former place of employment, the Alchemax Corporation. Spider-Man 2099’s powers are somewhat parallel to those of the modern-day Spider-Man, though there are differences; the 2099 transmits a potent venom and lacks a working spider-sense in favor of heightened ordinary senses.
