The Royal Guard TIE Interceptor features a mounting post and a base with a Star Wars insignia plate. The TIE Interceptor is superior to the standard TIE. The spherical cockpit chamber seems to be essentially the same, but the wing panels are now inverted and the panel gaps allow for increased peripheral sight. The Royal Guard version, red and black, looks somewhat more impressive than a garden variety Interceptor.
The Interceptors are fast and fluid, but, like the standard TIE, the safety factor seems to have eluded the equation once again. The Royal Guard TIE Interceptors are vessels constructed to take full advantage of the Royal Guards’ superior abilities. These Interceptors are equipped with augmented weapons, shields, and modest hyperdrive engines.
