Cliffjumper is a revamped version of Classics Bumblebee. He’s well-sculpted, compact, and well-articulated. Cliffjumper’s red chassis is slashed with silver. Upgraded to the Deluxe Class, Bumblebee also features a modified vehicle mode complete with Wave Crusher accessory. In robot mode, he’s got a kind of simplified Alternators design, with the Wave Crusher serving him as a flight pack.
Cliffjumper’s original file listed him as one of the fastest of the Autobots, somewhat averse to rough terrain. During Transformers: The Movie, Cliffjumper and Jazz were manning Moonbase 1 when Unicron cruised through and began to devour the entire moon. Neither of them recognized their attacker, though Jazz’s distress signal somewhat prepared the remaining Autobots at Autobot City for the new adversary on the horizon. Luckily, Cliffjumper and Jazz were rescued prior to being processed inside Unicron’s digestional foundry.
