Restored to his original toy coloring, Rumble is reborn in the form of a Honda Civic Si---though Rumble himself is not especially civic-minded, usually preferring sucker punches and mindless destruction. Rumble’s new incarnation provides him with a bulkier, more heavily armored form. His broad chestplate bears a resemblance to his humble cassette beginnings. His head sculpt and back-mounted cannons are also reminiscent of the original Rumble. Best of all, this version of Rumble finally features the jackhammers from the cartoon.
Rumble was one of Soundwave’s cassette warriors. For the cartoon, his colors were switched with those of Frenzy. Rumble was a belligerent runt, capable of generating blast attacks and powerful quakes, but still driven to fight everyone and everything in his vicinity due to his limited intelligence and diminutive stature. He suffered ridicule from both the Autobots and his fellow Decepticons. Fortunately, he’s now inherited a more grandiose incarnation, which should help to sublimate some of his frustration.
