These 3” plastic/die-cast figures are well-detailed, featuring limited articulation and faction-insignia display bases. Thundercracker’s depiction corresponds with his Gen 1 animated counterpart. Thundercracker is suspended by the grey-black exhaust clouds forming the figure’s base. He’s armed with a pistol---alternately prepared to blast an Autobot or simply to show his general contempt for Starscream. In accordance with the Gen 1 aesthetic, Thundercracker is a repaint of the 3” Titanium Starscream.
Though Thundercracker was among Megatron’s elite, almost any background source imparts a faint reluctance to Thundercracker in that he’s not completely convinced of the Decepticon cause. This inability to dedicate his entire existence seems to, in some cases, undermine his otherwise well-balanced abilities. In Transformers: The Movie, a slightly different continuity than the Dreamwave version, Thundercracker is among those Decepticon jettisoned from Astrotrain, which ultimately leads to Thundercracker’s transformation into Decepticon super-soldier Scourge at the hands of Unicron.
