Though not fully operational, the Death Star was already an imposing presence, dwarfing its Star Destroyer escort as it cruised through deep space during its final pre-operations check. Even as the final systems check progressed flawlessly, the Imperial officers in command of the battle station met in their first strategy session to plot the total destruction of the Rebel Alliance, and the continued domination of the Emperor. This boxed set includes one each of these 3.75" figures: Darth Vader, Grand Moff Tarkin, Admiral Motti, General Tagge, Chief Bast, Officer Cass, and Colonel Wulff Yularen along with various blasters and Darth Vader's Lightsaber.
This meeting emphasizes the windbag nature of the higher-ranking Imperial personnel. Assembled at a long funerary table, the pompous and pasty-faced Imperial team casually discusses the imminent destruction of the Rebel Alliance and the subsequent glory of the Emperor---while spending the entire time with Darth Vader, a bulky black shadow, in the peripheral. The highpoint of the scene involves Admiral Motti, the nimrod that attempts to fence with Vader as Vader stresses the mystical superiority of the Force even above the likes of the Death Star. Grand Moff Tarkin disdainfully orders Darth Vader to release Motti from the dreaded asphyxiation maneuver---either prior to or just after the soiling of Admiral Motti’s Imperial uniform.
