This Prime repaint seems mainly boiled down to grey, charcoal-grey and red, a color scheme slightly superior to the first draft Cybertron Prime. This scheme shares a vague similarity with that of the TF 2000/RID Optimus. In fire engine mode, his structure is more alien-based and loaded to the gills with assault capability. One of the largest Autobots in the line, Prime is highly articulated. In base form, he’s armed with his projectile-firing blaster rifle. From this point he can combine with his trailer component, becoming Super Prime, a mode in which he’s reinforced with greater height, and equipped with wings and additional blasters. He also has the ability to combine with other Autobots like Leo Breaker, to form the Savage Claw Mode, or Wing Saber, to form the Sonic Wing Mode.
In the Cybertron continuity, Prime is the Autobot Commander, charged with a vast organizational task in the wake of the appearance of the Black Hole and the mass exodus from planet Cybertron. Especially once it becomes apparent that Megatron has once again reemerged, this time equipped with fragments of Unicron armor, Optimus attempts to gather all of the Cyber Keys in hopes of neutralizing the Black Hole. In order to do this, in some cases dealing with individual Autobot leaders such as Override of Speed Planet or Metroplex of Giant Planet, Prime is forced to proceed diplomatically, sometimes loaning out the assignments to his trusted warriors.
