This would be the version of Darth Maul as he reports, long-distance, to his benevolent and understanding teacher, Darth Sidius. The hologram effect is a semi-translucent, pale blue. Maul is clad in his pleated robes with the hood shadowing his hateful, saturnine countenance. Maul is standing with his two lightsabers combined, the blade activated only at one end to create something like a lance or just an extremely long lightsaber.
Maul was a super-assassin, trained by Darth Sidious in the darkest and most depraved aspects of the Dark Side. Maul was systematically tortured and purged of all weaknesses. His fighting style was wider-ranging and more erratic than that of Dooku or Darth Vader, heavily based in Maul’s ambidextrous ability to wield two lightsabers at once. He was dispatched to Tatooine, to track down Obi Wan and Qui Gon, a mission that ultimately proved only partly successful.
