Issue #44 was the first appearance of the B.A.T.S., and it was also the debut of Dr. Mindbender, although initially that wasn’t his name. Lady Jaye is captured along with a group of recruits and subjected to a junkyard maze experiment in which they’re set upon by B.A.T.S. and bomb-activated psychotic creeper vines.
It looks like they took the body of the original lady Jaye figure and gave her a much better head sculpt---this time seemingly without the hat. On the cartoon, Lady Jaye was definitely in the hot chick circle with Scarlett and the Baroness. There was that one cool episode with the moldering castle and the monster pit where they established some dim relation between Lady Jaye and Destro.
Lady Jaye was primarily Intelligence, with an uncanny ability to personate others, which seemed to be a specialty of pretty much all of the GI Joe female recruits. Plus, she had those cool spears with the explosive heads. Additionally, she comes with two generic ground-rank Cobra Troopers to slap around.
