Momaw Nadon is one of a slew of cantina creatures, and one of the earliest ones to be christened as an action figure alongside the likes of other nicknamed characters like Walrusman or Snaggletooth. Momaw Nadon earned the name Hammerhead, presumably because of the part of his head that resembles the underside of a hammerhead shark. Nadon, a withered leathery-skinned splay-footed creature, is clad in his mud-colored tunic and comes equipped with his staff.
A reasonably benign creature, Nadon, according to the supplemental material, became a secret Rebel agent. Sometimes he alternatively used Tattooine as a source of information or a staging point. He was an exile from world of Ithor; there, hovering cities were built above rainforest terrain and the planet’s natural element was better safeguarded and preserved. Ithorians lived mostly in extremes, either in the cities or on the surface, with the two types never intersecting. Eventually Ithor was invaded, laid to waste, and made uninhabitable in the process.
