It’s cool to see the apparent rebirth of Repugnus, a very cool semi-peripheral Autobot who originated with the Monsterbot subgroup. Repugnus was vile and filthy, foul-tempered, introverted, and yet willing to undertake pretty much any assignment. They kicked him out of the Autobots, once or twice, but it was inevitable that new missions would come around demanding one of Repugnus’ special talents. So, whether the other Autobots liked him or not, he was a good guy to have around.
Now, we have this wicked repaint of Undermine, both with Repugnus’ name and portions of his color scheme. This guy kicks ass. He’s native to the Jungle Planet, a place perfect for the down and dirty missions that the Gen 1 Repugnus preferred, a place for him to run his undercover missions and other counterintelligence games. Like Undermine, Repugnus has his fin-created raptor mode, with the Cyber Key function that enables the thick blade lined inside the fin. In robot, his look is a little more unique than that of his fellow Autobots. The raptor head divides to form two pincher appendages. The upper fin becomes the skull crest with the spring-loaded blade serving as a horn.
