This guy was the Jedi Conehead, purportedly revered for his great skill and ponderous intellect. This is the hologram form, which enabled him to sit in on the council meetings and even interact with the proceedings. Unlike most of the other peripheral Jedi characters, he at least had a speaking role other than “uhh!” or “ahhh!”.
It is unknown as to how much more he might have accomplished as a Jedi, because once the Emperor threw on the black hood and laid down the nefarious “Order 66” all the clone troopers under Mundi’s command switched their blasters to ‘kill, kill, kill’ and turned him into one serious pin cushion. Seeming to sense some vague dissension with his super Conehead brain, he managed to parry a couple of the shots with his lightsaber, but he was one of many fighting a losing battle and in the end the clones made their former commander into a hologram permanently.
