There has to be a resoundingly unflattering stigma that goes with a name like Foul Moudama and with looking something like a cross between a kiwi and tarantula with neatly combed hair.
Probably the best way to contradict any automatically-generated stigma is to join up with the Jedi Knights, who apparently don’t care about such things. Hence, Foul’s Jedi ensemble and lightsaber.
Good ole’ Foul was among the group of Jedi warriors serving as bodyguards to Palpatine at the time of his staged capture. Though not seen during that part of the movie, he was depicted in supplemental material as having dying during the attempted enforcement of his task, along with a couple of other Jedi like that poor red-skinned chick that Grievous back-stabbed in that one deleted scene.
