Please Note: There are several packaging variations of this figure, the one pictured above with saber pointing down, and another with Vader pointing his saber towards the right side of the bubble. We are not differentiating between the two versions, so either may be shipped.
A scuttling insectoid Imperial Probe Droid expeditiously uncovered the secret base on Hoth, transmitting the info to its superiors.
The Empire moved in, although one of the commanders screwed the pooch and the squadron arrived soon enough that the Rebels did at least have some advance warning. Either way, the planet’s surface was besieged by shambling AT-AT Walkers, and eventually the base itself was crashed by hooded arctic Stormtroopers.
This is Darth Vader as he appeared during the takeover, heading the bustling Stormtrooper ranks, frustrated because most of the key prisoners he’d hoped to acquire had slipped beyond his grasp. Vader, pitch-black, stalked along the ice walls of the Echo Base interior, already comprising the mental list of the heads that were going to roll when he returned topside.
This version looks a little more common to the movie, with the helmet slightly enlarged to add to the more realistic dimensions. His cape and portions of his robe are cloth, and his lightsaber is constructed of a nice cashmere blend.
