Decepticon Sky Shadow is a repaint of Autobot Jetfire, and apparently he doesn’t mesh well with the other Decepticons. He sits alone in the chow hall, and he doesn’t like to share his energon canteen. Sky Shadow has a quiet way, bypassing all the usual Decepticon bravado, saying very little but listening constantly. He hangs back while all the other troops wheel out their “A” material and try their luck with Thunderblast. He harnesses information and orchestrates his own schemes. Of course he has his reasons. Sky Shadow and Jetfire look exactly alike because they’re the same guy. Jetfire has cultivated an alternate identity to infiltrate the Decepticon ranks and sew the seeds of destruction, fighting the enemy on their own terrain.
Sky Shadow is large and bulky, one of the cooler molds in the line. In plane mode, he’s got a wide sweep, he’s loaded up with heavy thrusters, and he’s armed with massive projectile-firing wing-mounted guns. He makes an even more impressive robot. The wings become pivoting shoulder plates, joined with the thrusters that convert to Sky Shadow’s arms. His wing guns become handheld blasters. His Cyber Key function activates his dual-projectile-firing rear cannon. Ironically, Sky Shadow makes one hell of a Decepticon because he’s carrying Jetfire’s strength, accuracy, speed and hardcore strategic edge into battle.
