Originally Crosswise had a hazy allegiance record. He began as a bounty hunter, a monster hunter specifically, eventually traveling to Earth and tracking down various mythological entities that were actually Decepticons, like Thunderblast and Lugnutz. Eventually he managed to imprison most of the monster Decepticons, and those Decepticons stayed imprisoned until Starscream, in his bid for leadership, released them. Crosswise, unfortunately, was also imprisoned, sealed in ice. Eventually he was rediscovered, and when he learned that his ancient enemies had been released, he joined up with the Autobots.
Crosswise is definitely one of the cooler Autobots, a good foot soldier, direct and to the point. His car mode is sleek, dark, ground-hugging, and in robot mode he’s extremely well articulated with an armored, barrel-chested look. The rear side panels become back-sweeping wings, the side doors become shoulder plates, and the hood becomes his left-arm shield. He’s got a handheld T-shaped blaster, and his Cyber Key function enables his short-barrel shoulder cannons.
