Kookily enough, Brushguard is a plant guy. He apparently devotes most of his time to the research of alien plant life. Still, being a Decepticon, his research endeavors are one-sided. He's looking for toxins and compounds to be used against the Autobots and humans alike. He's looking for gigantic flesh-eating ferns, or emperor-flytraps with metallic Autobot-crunching jaws. He LOVES that old Transformers episode about the space-bourne biomechanical plant monsters that digested an entire army of Insecticon clones.
Brushguard is a Decepticon repaint of Autobot Overhaul (who has long since sloughed his standard mode and evolved into the mighty Leobreaker.) In vehicle mode, he's a bulky all-terrain engine of destruction. In robot mode, Brushguard is heavily armored with overlapping chassis plates. His fists are flanked by curved wolverine's claws. His Cyber Key function enables the high-powered missile launcher set into his chestplate. Brushguard may be an earth-based Decepticon, but his face says Jungle planet. He wears a snarling expression, and fangs jut upwards from his blocky lower jaw.
