Darth Vader hired these guys to track down Han Solo because he wanted the kind of guys that weren't afraid to get their hands, claws or pinchers dirty. And here's an opportunity to get them all in one swipe. That's right, this is the Bounty Hunter Gift Set, the dark corner of the Star Wars saga, a small cross-section of scene-stealing peripheral characters. This is the same scene aboard Vader's Star Destroyer where he gave the small group of bounty hunters the specifics of the job he had in mind.
All bounty hunters in attendance have their individual strengths and weaknesses, but with just the one bounty on the table, only one of them will take home the championship belt. Dengar was once mangled in a speeder accident and then later reconfigured into a genetically-augmented Imperial assassin; now a renegade, he hunts his various prey in his small vessel, the Punishing One. Bossk, a carnivorous Trandoshan, has plenty of brawn and maybe a moderate degree of brain; whatever he can't tear apart with his thick claws he prefers to vaporize with his customized cargo carrier, the Hound's Tooth. IG-88 is among the more impressive of the bounty hunters, an assassin droid gone horribly wrong; shortly after his creation IG-88 had unexpectedly become self-aware and had promptly decided to rid the universe of all troublesome organic life forms. Boba Fett, taciturn behind the scarred exterior of his Mandalorian armor, is of course the most experienced of the group, an exacting, emotionless predator who prefers the silent, sanitized environment of the Slave-1 to his present surroundings. Zuckass and 4-LOM are a package deal, one a Gand intuitive desperate for an illegall clone-lung procedure, and the other a business-minded droid eager to obtain his partner's intuitive ability.
