Mario Wings: Mario is clad in blue overalls, white gloves, a red shirt and a red hat bearing his superhero-like “M” insignia, Mario Wings is seated in a red and black car fringed with white wings. Mario gains access to a handful of power-imbuing hats, such as the Wing Cap which enables him to fly. In Super Mario 64, Mario is invited to Princess Peach’s castle to eat a cake baked by the princess. However, upon arrival Mario learns that Bowser has taken control of the castle.
Luigi Kart: Seated in a green racer with black-and-white checkered panels, Luigi is clad in blue overalls, white gloves, a green shirt and a green hat bearing his superhero-like “L” insignia. Luigi is the younger brother of Mario; initially he is nearly identical to Mario, although in Super Mario Bros. 2, Luigi is a little taller and skinnier than Mario, and is also a better jumper.
Peach Bike: Seated on a pink and white motorcycle, Princess Peach is clad in her flowery pink gown, elbow-length gloves, and her jewel-studded tiara. Originally kidnapped by King Bowser, Princess Peach is rescued by Mario in Super Mario Bros. Later, in Super Mario Bros. 2, she becomes a playable character who uses her billowing skirt, in concert with her jumping maneuver, to float like an umbrella.
Mario Bike: Seated on a red, white and blue, distinctly Mario-esque motorcycle, Mario is clad in blue overalls, white gloves, a red shirt and a red hat bearing his superhero-like “M” insignia. Under the name “Jumpman” Mario initially appears as the protagonist in Donkey Kong. He later returns in the Mario Bros. games, emerging valiantly and selflessly to defend the Mushroom Kingdom and Princess Toadstool against the minions of King Koopa.
DK Hot Rod: Seated on a dark brown hot rod chased with vine-like green flames, Donkey Kong is a powerful brown gorilla with a kind of pointed pompadour and a blunt red necktie bearing his “DK” insignia. Donkey Kong battles Mario during the latter’s “Jumpman” days, when Donkey took Pauline as his captive and hurled obstacles to prevent Mario/Jumpman from staging a proper rescue.
