Sloth is a handless clock, with no winder. The sinner
rejects any kind of material or everyday effort. The
sloth refuses to follow the normal path of work, activity
and thinking. Nobody can escape the temptation of a
sin which constantly tempts you to leave the most basic
obligations to one side in favour of lifetime “rest”.
The character is slowly and irreparably consumed, controlled by an ancient armchair.
Sizzling grime against his continuously rotting flesh turns him into a victim of
the most absolute slovenliness. The days and nights slowly pass by in the view of
his immobility, waiting for the day in which the woodwork and upholstery of the
armchair fuse together with consumed flesh and bones for whole of eternity.
